Our origins trace back to Semco Systems Limited, founded in 1970, which established a strong foundation in pneumatic conveying and bulk material handling. Building on this foundation, Storage & Transfer Technologies focused on providing high-quality storage, handling, and slaking systems for a wide range of industrial applications.
Growth, Expansion, and Global Reach
Storage & Transfer Technologies expanded both its capabilities and geographic presence. In 2017, the company was acquired by Carmeuse, a global leader in lime and limestone solutions, marking a major milestone in its evolution. In 2021, STT expanded its footprint by establishing a U.S. headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, complementing its Canadian headquarters in Milton, Ontario. This growth further strengthened its ability to serve customers across North America and globally. In 2024, the organization was fully integrated and rebranded as Carmeuse Systems, unifying decades of expertise under a single, clearly defined identity.

In addition to bulk material handling systems, STT provided specialized lime slaking solutions, including Detention slakers and Vertical ball mill slaking systems.
