STT
For over 50 years, the teams at Storage & Transfer Technologies (STT) provided quality storage, handling, and slaking systems for use across many industrial applications. Over the years, STT evolved and rebranded, becoming the globally recognized Carmeuse Systems today. This page explores the rich history and evolution of STT, highlighting its journey from inception to becoming a leader in the industry.

Early Beginnings
Storage & Transfer Technologies began its journey focusing on providing high-quality storage, handling, and slaking systems for various industrial applications. The company quickly gained a reputation for its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. As the industry evolved, so did STT, adapting to new technologies and expanding its offerings to meet the growing needs of its customers.
Rebranding and Expansion
Throughout its history, Storage & Transfer Technologies underwent several rebranding phases, reflecting its growth and diversification. One of the most significant changes came when STT was acquired in 2017 by the 160-year-old global lime and limestone producer, Carmeuse and later adopted the name Carmeuse Systems. This new identity marked a pivotal moment in the company's history, emphasizing its expanded capabilities and global reach.
Global Presence
In 2021, Storage & Transfer Technologies extended beyond its Canadian Head Office in Milton, Ontario, and opened a second location, its US Head Office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During this time, Storage & Transfer Technologies continued to grow its legacy as a global company designing, integrating, and providing ongoing support for lime storage, handling, and slaking systems. With a presence in multiple countries, STT established itself as a trusted partner for businesses worldwide.
