Founded in 1978, Stanco Projects Ltd. specialized in the design, manufacturing, and support of custom bulk material handling and storage solutions for industrial, municipal, and commercial clients.
Originally headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, Stanco developed systems to handle a variety of chemical reagents, including:
- Quicklime
- Hydrated lime
- Magnesium oxide
- Soda ash
- PAC
- Other dry bulk materials
The company also engineered storage tanks and aluminum geodesic dome structures, supporting applications in water and wastewater treatment as well as municipal water storage. Stanco Projects Ltd. also served a wide range of industries beyond these core applications.
Growth, Acquisition, and Integration
For nearly 30 years, Stanco Projects Ltd. engineered reliable and efficient bulk material handling systems, building a reputation for quality and performance across global markets.
In 2007, Stanco Projects Ltd. was acquired, marking a key milestone in the company’s evolution.
In the years that followed, the organization evolved through integration and rebranding—first becoming Semcan Inc., and later STT Enviro Corp.—as it consolidated and expanded its capabilities.
In 2017, STT Enviro Corp. was acquired by Carmeuse, the global lime and limestone manufacturer. In 2024, the business was fully integrated and unified under the name Carmeuse Systems, bringing together decades of engineering knowledge and system expertise into one organization.
