Gold Mine Milling & Acid Mine Drainage
In gold mining, milling is the process of crushing and grinding ore to liberate gold from the surrounding rock, preparing it for further processing and extraction. Another major hazard of gold mining is environmental contamination from acid mine drainage (AMD). AMD can cause environmental damage to drinking water and its byproducts such as mercury and other heavy metals can work their way into the food chain if not properly managed.

This project centered around a very rural gold mine in Canada that needed a consistent lime supply for all of their mineral processing needs, treat acid mine drainage (AMD) to get the best utilization of the lime supplied by maximizing the efficiency of their lime slaking equipment.
