Pre-Engineered Systems
Quicklime Feed System
Quicklime, also know as calcium oxide, (CaO) or lime, is used in many industrial applications for pH adjustment and to aid in the removal of contaminants. When dry quicklime is slaked with water, it forms a calcium hydroxide slurry (Ca(OH)2), also known as milk of lime. Understanding the factors that impact the rate of this reaction, including water temperature, mixing speed, retention time, and lime feed system design, can help ensure that you are getting the most effective use of lime slurry for a given process. At Carmeuse Systems, we understand the intricacies of building an effective lime system and have developed a pre-engineered quicklime feed system for easy integration and startup.
This quicklime slaking system comes in a convenient four-piece modular design that includes all the necessary components for a quick and efficient setup. It is engineered to handle the rigors of your application while significantly reducing construction time and shipping costs. Carmeuse Systems meticulously assembles, installs, pipes, wires, and integrates all components and equipment through an automated control panel at our facility prior to shipment. This ensures that the system is fully operational upon arrival, minimizing on-site labor and potential delays while ensuring that the system becomes functional quickly to suit your needs.
The four modular boxes are shipped pre-insulated and upright, ensuring they are ready for immediate installation. The upper storage silo module is shipped separately, designed for simple and straightforward connection at the site. This modular approach not only enhances the efficiency of the setup process but also ensures that each component is optimized for performance and durability. Additionally, the system’s modular nature allows for easy scalability and customization to meet specific project requirements, making it a versatile solution for various industrial applications.
