Hydrated Lime Feed System
Hydrated lime, also know as calcium hydroxide, (Ca(OH)2), is used in many industrial applications for acid neutralization and contaminants removal. When dry hydrated lime is mixed water, it forms a calcium hydroxide slurry (Ca(OH)2), also known as lime slurry or milk of lime. A properly designed hydrated lime feed system can help ensure that you are producing an effective lime slurry for a given process. At Carmeuse Systems, we understand the intricacies of using hydrated lime and have developed several pre-engineered hydrated lime feed systems for easy integration and startup on site.
Our standard hydrated lime feed system comes in a three-piece modular design with different options to suit your exact needs. This design includes all the necessary components for a quick and efficient setup and is designed to handle the rigors of your application while reducing construction time and shipping costs. Carmeuse Systems monta, instala tuberías y cables e integra todos los componentes/equipamiento mediante un panel de control automatizado en nuestras instalaciones antes del envío. The pre-insulated modular box is shipped upright on a skid and fits on a conventional truck.
The system is comprised of a storage silo for the hydrated lime, a feeding mechanism, and a control system for the efficient mixing of hydrated lime. We provide two options for pre-engineered systems with the following specifications to suit your needs.

Hydrated Lime Feed System in a Box
Hydrated Lime Feed System in a ‘Box’ which has a 12’ square footprint and can deliver up to 2.500 lb/hr of hydrated lime.
Hydrated Lime Feed System in a Can
Hydrated Lime Feed System in a ‘Can’ which has a 14’ round footprint and can deliver up to 2.646 lb/hr of hydrated lime.
